Do I have a legitimate reason to sue my company for wrongful termination?

Additional Details:
I was fired because I was having a general discussion among co-workers about getting denied a
promotion where I was both positive and negative about the person that did get the promotion. Word
got back to the hiring manager that I was complaining so he wrote me up solely based on hear-say
from a "few employees" stating that I had approached them and was very aggressive and intimidating
them, which I was not. The following day, I was fired for continuing to talk about it when all I
did was ask a co-worker if that manager had asked them any questions. I never received a copy of
the write-up or the discharge paper-work stating why I was fired.

You were an employee at will. The law does not protect your job. You do not belong to a union, so no union protects your job. Unless they did it to get rid of you for a wrong reason, such as age, sex, race, religion, ethnic , etc., they have the right to fire you because they don't like the of your shirt or because you are an A&M fan instead of a Longhorn fan. It is a tough world out there and the law says that the employers have the right to write the rules.
